Congratulations to the TechFutures Class of 2005
On Saturday, June 4, 2005, 36 WCCUSD students were honored at the 4th TechFutures graduation for their achievements in web design, database applications development, and internet networking, and their personal achievement in completing their 2-year commitment to the very rigorous TechFutures program.
This year the Class of 2005 includes 23 students from ECHS and 13 from KHS. 100% of these graduates are going to college next year: 6 graduates will be going to UC campuses (2 UC Berkeley, 3 UC San Diego, 1 UC Santa Cruz), 5 to private 4-year colleges (Brown, USC, SFAI, USF, and Cal Poly), 7 to CSUs (3 to CSU San Francisco, 2 CSU San Jose, 1 CSU Long Beach, 1 CSU Sacramento), and 17 to local community colleges (Contra Costa College, Diablo Valley College, College of Marin) and one technical college, Wyotech. These students join the Classes of 2002, 2003 and 2004 that now total 100 graduates, 99% of whom have gone on to college (one is in the military applying his major in database applications).
