Graduation 2006
Close to 300 students, relatives, teachers, past graduates and dignitaries took the UC Berkeley’s Lawrence Auditorium by storm on June 3, 2006 to congratulate the TechFutures Class of 2006 for going the distance.
Attendees were treated to presentations of students’ advanced coursework and speeches from the valedictorians of each area of focus, Networking, Database Applications, and Web Design Instructors recognized each graduate individually for the unique mark that they left on the program and class as they received their framed certificates and gift bags. Other highlights included the screening of short video made about the program and graduates, recognition of outstanding parent volunteers, and a keystone speech by our guest, Gary Hoachlander, President of Connect-Ed. After the ceremony, all convened on the Lawrence Hall’s beautiful patio area overlooking the San Francisco Bay for class photos and a catered reception.
