ITA Update
TechFutures is pleased to announce that Jennielyn Dino Rossi, the new Placement Director for WCCUSD Career Academies, is working closely with us to develop summer internships and job placements for Information Technology Academy students. We anticipate a strong increase in the amount of placements that we will be able to offer over summers to come. Jennielyn will also be coordinating fun and detailed job skills workshops in order to prepare all of our students to meet the challenges of the job-hunt and application process when they graduate.
In addition, the IT Academies at Kennedy and El Cerrito High Schools are hard at work forming Advisory Boards consisting of representatives from local business, school district, and our high schools to guide the Academies and help develop long term relationships and job placement opportunities with area businesses.
