Tom Watanabe
I joined TechFutures as Business Development Manager in January 2004. My role is to lead the sales and marketing of TF's services to business, non-profit, and government organizations. In addition, I will be mining grant opportunities within both the public and private sectors.
I've worked in corporate tech sales my entire career including ten years in Asia-Pacific where I lived in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Melbourne. From 2002, I launched my own sales consultancy firm and worked with a mix of corporate and non-profit clients including Rocky Mountain Institute where I served as their Director of Business Development.
My exposure to the critical role of non-profit companies eventually led me to TechFutures and the pioneering work of Ron and Ellen. I feel lucky to become a member of the TechFutures family and am honored to be able to play a role in expanding the program to additional schools and districts across the country.
